Fort Moultrie Quarter-Dollar Launch Event Set for November 17

The Mint of the U.S.A. starts the event for the Fort Moultrie. It was decided to release quarter dollars. The event will begin at 10:30 a.m. at Eastern Time on 17 November at the Fort Moultrie Visitors Center. It is an open and free ceremony for all who is eager to come and see. Shortly after the ceremony is over, the coins will become accessible for purchase at their face value. The minimum price is 10 dollars, while the maximal one is 100 dollars. Mind that parking is restricted. Therefore, you have to hurry and get your place. Children who have not yet turned 18 years will receive a gratis quarter.

Fort Moultrie Quarter-Dollar, 2016

This fort is included to the American Beautiful Quarters program and is the 35th event out of this program. The reverse side depicts a renowned scene of June 28, 1776. On this day, there took place the famous Battle of Sullivan's Island. It was remarkable by a heroic deed of Sergeant William Jasper, who rescued the national flag. Afterward, the hero replanted it in the fort.

The day before the event would take place, there will occur the sharing of the information concerning the American coins. All eager will learn how they are made, out of which materials they are forged and all the details of the design. This forum will be free and open to the public.
